KATHLEEN “KATHY’ HOLUB

KATHLEEN “KATHY’ HOLUB
Kathleen (Kathy) Holub passed away Sept. 7, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born July 11, 1951, in Neillville, WI, to Joseph and Mildred (nee Honzik) Holub. Kathy was the youngest of nine children. Kathy graduated from Alma Center High School in 1969 and from the District One Technical Institute in Eau Claire, WI, in 1970. She worked for Anchor Bank in Madison for many years, eventually retiring from there. She was involved with many projects at church and had made many loyal friends there. Kathy loved walking and walked everywhere. She also loved to read and write. Family genealogy was important to her as was her Czechoslovakian heritage. Another love of Kathy’s life was her cats through the years, Bandit, Tiger and Butterscotch.
Kathy is survived by her brother, Leonard (Judith) Holub; sisters Shirley Aldrich and Ilene Harlicker; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred; sisters Delores Peters, Ellen Jahn, Barbra Jones and Loretta Holub; and brother Ron Holub.
A special thank you to Emily and Wendy of SSM Hospice-Madison and to all the staff at Heritage Home Middleton for all their help and compassion. Also, a very special thanks to the women of Asbury Church, especially Sue, Faith, Mardelle and Darlene, who were there at all times for Kathy. They were her angels.
A celebration of life was held at Asbury Church, 6101 University Avenue, Thursday, Sept. 18.
Memorials in Kathy’s name can be made to Asbury Church or your favorite animal shelter.
We love you Kathy and will never forget you.
